Have you ever dreamed of going on a celebrity cruise in a ship owned by royalty? An upcoming Hollywood film is adding to the romance and intrigue of that fantasy for many Grace Kelly fans.
"Grace of Monaco" is a soon-to-be-released biography film offering a glimpse into the life of Grace Kelly. It stars Aussie Nicole Kidman, was written by Arash Amel and directed by Olivier Dahan. Its supporting cast features Frank Langella, Derek Jacobi, Parker Posey, Paz Vega, Milo Ventimiglia, Tim Roth and Roger Ashton-Griffiths.
A Piece of History
The film will open the upcoming 2014 Cannes Film Festival, despite U.S. distributor Harvey Wenstein's statements that he does not feel it's quite ready. Audiences will ultimately be the judge of the highly-anticipated film, which opens abroad on May 14 and in American theaters on June 5.
Production of "Grace of Monaco" took place in France and Italy as well as Monaco's main square. Screen star Nicole Kidman indicated that the movie was a character study, stating that it would showcase a part of her life revealing her "great humanity, as well as fears and weaknesses."
The plot of the film centers around former Hollywood star Grace Kelly's marriage and identity crisis during a dispute in 1962 between Prince Rainier III of Monaco and France's Charles de Gaullein. The film is said to be rich with details and accents giving it tremendous authenticity, including the appearance of the actual Camper & Nicholsons yacht given to Grace Kelly as a wedding gift. The yacht is currently owned by Quasar Expeditions, premier purveyor of tours to the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, Peru, Quito, the Amazon, Patagonia and other exotic locations.
Unparalleled Style and Elegance
Grace of Monaco's 18 passenger yacht has traveled world oceans under many names over the years, but has been re-christened by Quasar Expeditions with the name most emblematic of her origins: Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco. The name reflects the beauty, elegance and prestige that Grace Kelly herself embodied. Today, she is called M/Y Grace.
Quasar Expeditions is now offering tours of the Galapagos in this extraordinary vessel, and the experience calls to mind a celebrity cruise with its superb accommodations, excellent service and fine dining. Experience the Galapagos in a unique and unforgettable way with Quasar Expeditions, and don't forget to look for "Grace of Monaco" in theaters this June.
