Pingo Valley Hike

This scenic hike follows a trail along the River Pingo, in an area not affected by the 2011 fire in Torres del Paine National Park. The vegetation is strong and healthy here, providing excellent habitat for a variety of wildlife. The trail covers a wide range of terrain, yet there are no prolonged ascents and the hike can be adjusted based on your level of fitness. The area is a refuge for the elusive Huemul or Andean Deer. You may choose to walk for just one hour or up to 6 hours for some more intensive trekking. This valley offers a huge range of possibilities. We recommend you decide upon the distance and duration of this hike with your Quasar Expeditions’ guide, during your welcome briefing.

*This excursion requires a certified National Park guide. The trails of the Pingo Valley are not as clearly marked as other trails around the Park, thus making it a lot easier to get lost. The National Park service of Torres del Paine allows entry to this part of the Park only when accompanied by a CONAF certified guide.
