We will start our hike at Salto Grande Waterfall viewpoint. Part of the famous Paine Hydric System, Salto Grande is the second largest waterfall in Torres del Paine National Park and is the result of the drainage of Nordenskjold Lake into Pehoe Lake. From the waterfall, a small and narrow trail leads us away from the more frequented sites to a fairly easy hike of 3.5 km (2.2 miles) to the Mirador Cuernos overlook. We pass among pampas and hills, fallen trees and blossoming flowers, lakeside beaches and hilltops until we find a bench overlooking the Nordenskjold Lake and the imposing Paine Cuernos. This is the breathtaking end of the trail and the perfect spot to take out your camera. From here you will retrace back the way you came.
