Lake Grey & River Grey Kayaking

This day’s activity begins at the Rio Serrano Park Entrance, where we will park our vehicles for the day and take a van transfer to Glacier Grey. After a safety briefing and some tips for the excursion, we will begin paddling around the lake for approximately 1.5 hours, through a floating gallery of icebergs (varies by time of season) of incredible shapes that have descended from Glacier Grey. In the background we will be able to admire the Paine Massif, including Paine Grande and Paine Horns, as well as Glacier Grey in the distance. Next we will begin the descent of Grey River, that serpents through deep canyons and steep rock faces, creating sections of rapids that are exciting and entertaining. We will have the opportunity to appreciate many different species of aquatic birds that inhabit the river, including the peculiar Spectacled and Torrent Ducks. After paddling for 3–4 hours down river, the adventure comes to an end at Serrano Village.

Weather Permitting: This activity is subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled on days with very bad weather. In such instances, will help you plan a replacement activity while in Patagonia. Completion of a kayaking form will be required upon confirmation of excursion.
