The beautiful hike to Cerro Benítez is a half-day outing trekking upwards that begins at the foot of Benítez Hill, which is in very close proximity to the stunning Sofia Lagoon. As we journey to the mountaintop for incredible panoramic views, we will have the pleasure of hiking through the lush Lenga tree forest that provides stunning views of greenery on our way upwards.
After about an hour and a half of ascending, we will reach our destination at the summit of the mountain to enjoy 360°-degree views of breathtaking fjords, mountains, and if we’re lucky, epic flights of the legendary Andean Condor.We will have the opportunity to relax and look out for the largest flying bird in the world, the icon of the Andes, to take the skies gliding through the upward currents of eaves and slopes of steep hills. Once we’ve regained our energy back from our trip to the top, we will begin our descent to the base of the hill.
This remarkable excursion is especially great for those who enjoy birdwatching and/or photography. A bilingual Guide, transportation, and trekking poles are included.
