Glaciar Sur: Pioneer Option

This excursion takes us through ranches and Patagonian steppe to the pioneer Ranch Nibepo Aike in the heart of Los Glaciares National Park. Here we will visit the ranch and take a short walk to the Wood of Ñires by the Roca Lake where we will enjoy an authentic Patagonian lunch accompanied by local wines. After lunch we head to the dock and begin our navigation. This boat trip will offer panoramic views of Adriana and Moreno Hills. We reach our first disembarking point on De las Monedas Beach. Here we will begin a leisurely 20-minute walk through a Beech Tree forest, finally arriving at a lookout where we get to appreciate the majestic south side of the Perito Moreno Glacier. We return to the boat in order to continue sailing off the south side of the glacier. We disembark to traverse the famous Perito Moreno Glacier boardwalks where we will get an up close and personal encounter with this ice giant, before returning to Puerto Bajo las Sombras, to sail back to the pier, where we will pick up our vehicle to return to El Calafate.
