Get off the beaten path with this unique expedition which will take you on a journey along the road less traveled to a part of Los Glaciares National Park that is rarely seen. Beginning in El Calafate at around 8:00am, our full day of adventure takes us 50km southwest to Roca Lake where we embark on a navigation to the south end of the Brazo Sur. Here, we begin a gentle hike through Antarctic Beech Tree forests to reach Frias Lake. We will cross to the western end of the lake in a small boat, and begin our hike up towards the Frias Glacier near the edge of the National Park. Once we reach the glacier field, we will enjoy our lunch and explore this pristine natural environment before returning to El Calafate to rest and relax from our day of adventure.
