I saw a lot of boats at anchor when I first arrived in the Galapagos, but the M/Y Grace stands out because she is so beautiful. The best looking boat in the Galapagos for sure. I fell in love with her classic lines and sea kindliness. Montserrat was our host and she did a fantastic job. Nothing was too much trouble and she made certain that everyone's needs were satisfied and she did all of her work in great style. I wish she worked for me!
The Galapagos trip on the Grace was nothing short of fabulous. The crew was wonderful and Caroline, the cruise director, was thoughtful and meticulous. Everyone seemed to do more than one job. Rafael, our guide was articulate, extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to make certain everyone was happy and satisfied. He is an amazing asset for Quasar Expeditions.
I thought the Grace was a wonderful yacht. My husband and I probably had one of the smallest cabins and we found it very comfortable and well designed. The A class doubles looked wonderful! Our children were down below in C5 and loved their cabin!
We like the quaint, almost family-like, comfort of the ship. We would not have felt as comfortable or at ease on a larger ship with 50-100 passengers.
We loved the uniqueness of the boat and the feeling you were aboard a classic yacht and not a cruiser, friendliness of staff, and excellent food. Cabins were also cleaned almost too much!
The Grace was like a moving 5-star hotel – accommodations were spacious & luxurious, the food was gourmet and always outstanding, and the quality of service couldn't be better.
The food was excellent with enough variety. I very much enjoyed having the Ecuadorian dishes and when mention was made of the background of the dishes. I would have these brief explanations made at every meal when applicable.
We were served gourmet meals every day. The food was exceptional.
I must say, and our party of eight unanimously agreed, that the food was absolutely and unexpectedly wonderful--tasty, creative, extremely well prepared and ever varied, with many healthy options and much to choose from at every meal.
We would like to specifically mention Rafael, our guide, who has this rare talent to know what you might want before you even get a chance to ask for it, which kinds of makes you feel like royalty...
Lenin was INCREDIBLE!!!! He was extremely knowledgeable. He was a nice guy. He gave us options of things to do that I think were outside the norm of what is done on the cruise - such as getting to drift snorkel (which is when we saw the manta ray).
Sam was the master and the leader and could not have been better. A great birder and good artist, he was and is the ultimate professional.
We would like to specifically mention Caroline, our cruise director, who has this rare talent to know what you might want before you even get a chance to ask for it, which kinds of makes you feel like royalty...
The crew on the yacht was terrific and worked very hard to please everyone. I just thought I would let you know how much I appreciated the entire program that is offered.
Amazing staff, after 4 weeks of cycling in Chile, this was definitely the place to recharge. Thank you.
Smaller yacht with fewer passengers meant I could get to know people well during the week. It was very personal. It also meant there was a closer interaction with the guide. This is the way Galapagos Travel has to be done.
Seeing Bartolome Island during the sunrise was magical. The snorkeling right after was also superb. What we particularly liked was the ability for our guide to alter the itinerary as need be because we were a small group.
We were very lucky to have all our passengers to be incredibly entertaining, interesting, respectful, and enjoyable. Our Guide, Rafa, should be a university professor. His knowledge was quite impressive.
