Transform Your Trip Into a Local Legacy
EMBARK ON A JOURNEY OF IMPACT WITH A CONSERVATION CONTRIBUTION

Imagine stepping into a land where nature's beauty knows no bounds. Yet, over time, this treasure has faced erosion and environmental challenges. The Base Torres trail, beloved by adventure-seekers and a lifeline for locals, has been worn away by countless footsteps.

Today, we stand at a crucial crossroads. It's our responsibility to restore this trail, ensuring it doesn't harm the environment, making it safer for visitors like you, and securing its role in sustaining the community. That’s why we’re partnering with Las Torres Conservancy (formerly AMA Torres del Paine) and ConservationVIP® to restore the trail—and you can be part of this meaningful change without lifting a finger.

As a conscious traveler, we've made it effortless for you to contribute. Donations are seamlessly included in your Quasar Expeditions invoice. Opt in or out, and if you wish, make a larger donation. Your contribution becomes the guiding light on the path to sustainable exploration in Patagonia, effortlessly.

YOUR DONATION SUPPORTS RESPONSIBLE TOURISM THAT HELPS, NOT HARMS
  1. THE SOCIAL
    PILLAR

Travel and Tourism is (indirectly) responsible for as many as 1 in every 10 jobs worldwide. However, travel often has a detrimental ripple effect.

  2. THE ENVIRONMENTAL
    PILLAR

We work to achieve environmental sustainability through creating processes, systems, and activities that reduce the environmental impact of our adventures.

  3. THE ECONOMIC
    PILLAR

One of the longest-lasting benefits of travel is economic, from the creation of job opportunities to the distribution of spending within local communities.

How Donations Work
CONSERVATION EFFORTS ARE PART OF THE QUASAR STANDARD

Your support helps rebuild the heart of Patagonia.

Every donation matters and your safari
    makes this possible.

Charting the Impact: The Base Torres Trail Map
WHAT BETTER WAY TO TRANSFORM A DESTINATION THAN TO LEAVE A SUSTAINABLE TRAIL BEHIND?

The Base Torres trail suffers from extensive erosion due to its initial construction without the use of sustainable mountain trail techniques. Every portion of trail restored through donations, at $35 per meter, will minimize erosion, ensure safety for fellow travelers, help hikers connect with the environment, and safeguard this pristine land for future generations.
