Description:
Bird of narrow, pointed wings. Its manner of flying is characterized by being very acrobatic. There is sexual dimorphism. The female has a light brown belly and dark brown back, living in places with nearby water sources. The male has grey back and lives in valleys and ridges.

Reproduction:
Nests in bushes or in reeds. Places between 2 and 4 eggs.

From September to March.

Food:
Carnivore, hunts offspring of aquatic birds and mice.

Habitat:
Thickets, perimeters of forest and wetlands.
