Walks & hikes in the Galapagos Islands

One of the big highlights of a Galapagos cruise with Quasar Expeditions are the many opportunities for close encounters with wildlife. The islands and surrounding waters are quite literally teaming with exotic and colorful creatures that have never learned to fear humans. This translates into a series of daily peak experiences including tracking giant tortoises and trading stares with unconcerned marine iguanas. Bird life is also abundant, varied and fearless. You may have to give way as a blue footed booby crosses your path, or have the opportunity to observe a Galapagos hawk perched just a few steps away, as an albatross launches itself off a cliff on a journey that will encompass thousands of miles.

The best way to see Galapagos wildlife in these islands is on the walks and hikes that are scheduled each day on the different Islands. Every visit to each island involves an easy or an intermediate walk or hike, which last between 1 to 3 hours and are usually not strenuous at all. On these walks you will be led by one of our expert naturalists who will guide you along the clearly marked trails in each of the Islands and show you all the wonders of each of our carefully selected Visitor Sites.
