Distribution:

from Valparaíso to Magallanes

Residence:

annual resident.

Habitat:

Forest of Nothofagus, low shrub transitional zones or pastures and areas of forest and shrub regeneration

Food habits:

Omnivore

Reproduction:

they nest on the ground, in shrubs or among rocks; they lay 2 to 4 eggs.

Observations:

they are sexual dimorphism; the female is paler in colour, while the male has a greenish-yellow mantle and is hazel colour.
